Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-09-15 · Last updated: 2026-09-15 · Version: 2026-09-15
The short version
You have to be an adult and the parent or guardian of any kid you add. You forward us
your own school email and we turn it into a dashboard. We are a helper, not the school,
so double-check anything that matters. You own your family's data and can delete it
anytime. We own the software. Texas law governs.
The full terms below are what actually binds. If the summary and the terms disagree,
the terms win.
1. Who we are and what this covers
tidy-tigers is operated by Beanpod Collective LLC ("tidy-tigers," "we," "us"),
a Texas limited liability company. These Terms are a contract between you and us and
cover your use of the tidy-tigers website and app (the "Service").
By checking the box at signup, you agree to these Terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be the parent or legal guardian of every child you add.
- Children do not have accounts. Kids do not log in and do not interact with the
Service. Everything about a child here is entered or forwarded by you.
- One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
If you are not eligible, you may not use the Service, and we may close an account we
learn is not eligible.
3. What the Service does, and what it does not
tidy-tigers organizes school email you forward to us into a per-child dashboard of
action items, dates, and notes.
Read this part carefully.
tidy-tigers helps you keep track of school email, but it is a helper, not the official
word. Always double-check important dates and to-dos against the original message and
your school's official channels. We work hard to get it right and we show you the
source for everything, but we cannot promise we will catch every item, and we are not
responsible for anything missed. Think of us as a sharp assistant, not a replacement
for the school.
The Service uses AI to read the emails you forward and draft your dashboard. AI gets
things wrong sometimes. We show you the source email behind every item so you can check
it, and we flag items we are unsure about rather than hiding them. Use that.
tidy-tigers is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school,
school district, PTA, or PTO. We are a tool you chose to use.
4. Your email, and what you authorize us to do with it
This section is the heart of the Service, so it is written plainly.
tidy-tigers organizes the school email you choose to forward to us. We never access
your inbox. We only ever see messages you forward. By forwarding mail to your
tidy-tigers address, you confirm you are the recipient of that mail and you authorize
us to process it to build your family's dashboard. We do not use it for anything else,
and we do not sell it.
Specifically, you confirm and agree that:
- You are a lawful recipient of every message you forward to us.
- You authorize us to store, parse, summarize, and display that message in order to
build your dashboard, and to fetch pages that approved senders link to (for example a
principal's newsletter) for the same purpose. Attachments arrive with the message and are
kept with it, but we do not open, read, or separately store them, and they are deleted
with the message.
- We process mail only from approved senders. Mail from an unknown sender is held
aside: it is never sent to our AI provider and never reaches your dashboard. You can
approve or mute a held sender yourself on the Senders page.
- You will not forward mail you have no right to forward, and you will not use the
Service to collect information about other people's children.
We do not log into your email account. We use no inbox password, OAuth token, or
mailbox access of any kind. That is a design commitment, not just a current state.
5. Adding a child
When you add a child you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian, and you
consent to us processing information about them to build your dashboard. Your agreement to
these Terms at signup, which covers this, is recorded with the version and a timestamp.
Use a first name or nickname. You do not need to give us a child's full legal name,
date of birth, photo, home address, or student ID, and we ask you not to. Less data is
better for everyone.
You can delete a child, and everything tied to them, at any time.
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use the Service if you are under 18 or not a parent or guardian of the children on the account;
- forward mail you are not a recipient of, or attempt to organize another family's mail;
- try to break, probe, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- resell or redistribute the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
- use it for anything illegal, or to harass or harm anyone.
We can suspend or close an account that violates this section.
7. Your data, our software
Your data stays yours. You keep all rights to your account information, your
children's information, and the email content you forward. You grant us a limited,
non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the
Service for you. That license ends when you delete the data or close your account.
Our software stays ours. We own the tidy-tigers software, design, brand, name, and
logo, and nothing here transfers any of that to you. You get permission to use the
Service, not to own any part of it.
Feedback you send us is a gift. We can use it without owing you anything.
8. Deleting your data and closing your account
You can delete your household, which also closes your account, at any time yourself:
Settings → "Delete our family". It takes effect immediately and removes your
household, your children, the mail you forwarded, your dashboard, and your sign-in.
To delete a single child, or if you would rather ask us, email hello@tidytigers.app
and we will do it within 60 days at most. Either way, we permanently delete your and
your children's personal data, except anything the law requires us to keep.
Details of what we keep and for how long are in the Privacy Policy.
We may close or suspend your account if you break these Terms, if we are required to,
or if we stop offering the Service. If we stop offering the Service, we will give you
notice and a chance to get a copy of your data first.
9. Price
The Service is free during the beta. If we ever start charging, we will tell you
before it applies to you, and you will be able to decline and close your account instead.
There is no subscription, no card on file, and no payment processing today.
Fair use. The Service is built for a family's ordinary school email. If an account's
volume goes far beyond that, we may contact you, limit how much we process, or pause
processing for that account. We won't charge you for it.
10. Warranties, or the absence of them
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind,
express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service
will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will catch every item in your mail.
Some states do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive
damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed events, deadlines, forms, or
activities, even if we were told such damages were possible.
- Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the
greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or
(b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or
gross negligence.
This section and §10 are a basic part of the deal between us. The Service is offered on
these terms and would not be offered without them.
12. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of
these Terms, or your forwarding of mail you had no right to forward. We will tell you
promptly about any such claim and let you participate in the defense.
13. Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or
by email before it takes effect. For significant changes we will ask you to accept the
new version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
We keep a record of which version you accepted and when.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its
conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts
located in Hays County, Texas, and we each consent to that venue.
Before filing anything, email us at hello@tidytigers.app and give us
30 days to work it out. Most things get solved this way.
15. The rest
- If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
- Our not enforcing something once does not waive it.
- You may not transfer your account. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger or
sale of the business, with notice to you.
- These Terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Service.

The short version (plain-language summary)
We built tidy-tigers to make school email calmer, not to do anything sneaky with your family's information. In plain terms:
- We only ever see the emails you choose to forward to us. We never log into your inbox, and we can't read anything you don't send us.
- The email you forward is visible only to your family. A few school-wide items we add ourselves, like the district calendar, are shown to every family at your school. §7 explains this, and one change we may make as we build.
- We use AI to read those forwarded emails and turn them into your dashboard. That means our AI provider processes the content of the mail you forward — we tell you exactly who that is below.
- We never sell or rent your data. No ads. No ad profiles on your kids. Ever.
- We ask our AI provider not to use your content to train their models, and they've agreed to that.
- We collect as little about your child as possible — a first name or nickname you pick, their school, grade and teacher, and an avatar — and you can delete everything anytime.
This summary is here to be helpful; the full policy below is what governs. If they ever seem to conflict, the full policy controls.
1. Who we are
tidy-tigers is operated by Beanpod Collective LLC ("tidy-tigers," "we," "us"), a Texas limited liability company located at 2028 E Ben White Blvd #240-4024, Austin, TX 78741. You can reach us anytime at hello@tidytigers.app.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the tidy-tigers website and app (the "Service"). The Service is offered in the United States and is not directed to people outside the U.S.
2. Who can use tidy-tigers
You must be 18 or older and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. tidy-tigers is a tool for parents. Children do not create accounts, do not log in, and do not interact with the Service. Everything about a child in tidy-tigers is entered or forwarded by you.
3. What we collect, and how
We collect only what we need to build and run your dashboard:
Information you give us directly
Account info: your name and email address.
Another parent you add: if you add a second parent to your family, the email address you give us for them. Once they sign in and accept these terms, they see and use your family's dashboard just as you do. You can remove them, or they can leave, at any time.
Household + child info: a household name, your time zone, and for each child a first name or nickname you choose (you do not need to give us a child's full legal name, date of birth, photo, home address, or student ID — and we ask you not to), plus their school and grade, and an avatar and colour you pick for them.
Your child's teacher(s): the teacher you select when you add a child — middle-schoolers have several, one per subject. For some schools we pre-load the teacher list from that school or district's own published staff directory, so you can pick from a list instead of typing; where we don't have that list, you type the name in yourself. Either way, what we hold is a teacher's name and the school, grade or subject they go with — the same details the school already publishes about its own staff.
Payment info: none. tidy-tigers takes no payments today, so we ask for and hold no card or billing details at all. If we ever add subscriptions, a specialist payment provider will handle your card directly, we still won't store card numbers, and we'll update this policy before that starts (see §5).
Feedback you send us: when you flag a card as wrong or use "Send feedback" in Settings, we keep what you picked, any note you write, which card it was about, and basic technical details (the screen you were on, your browser type and the app version) so we can look into it. Please stick to first names or nicknames in notes, as everywhere else in tidy-tigers.
Information we receive because you forward it to us
- The content of the school emails you forward to your private tidy-tigers address, including sender, subject, body, and attachments — and, where an email links to a school newsletter or page, the content we fetch from that link so we can summarize it for you. We only process mail from approved senders; mail from an unknown sender is held aside and is not read or sent to our AI provider unless you approve that sender.
Information we collect automatically
- Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic request data — including your IP address, the page requested, and the time — so the Service can run and stay secure.
- A sign-in cookie. One cookie that keeps you signed in. That is the only cookie we set.
- We run no analytics of any kind. No Google Analytics, no product analytics, no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, no third-party trackers, and no advertising pixels. Our fonts are served from our own site rather than a font network, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else you were here.
What we do NOT do: We do not access your email inbox. We use no inbox login, OAuth token, or password to your email account. We only ever receive what you deliberately forward.
4. How we use your information
We use it to:
- build and update your per-child dashboard (this is the core purpose, and it involves our AI provider reading the content of the emails you forward — see §6);
- authenticate you (magic-link sign-in) and keep the Service secure;
- provide support, respond to your requests, and fix what your feedback tells us is wrong; and
- comply with law and enforce our Terms.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising or marketing profiles about you or your children.
5. Who we share it with (our sub-processors — and no one else)
We share your information only with the service providers that help us run tidy-tigers, and only so they can do that work for us under contract. As of the effective date, they are:
| Provider |
What they do for us |
What they process |
| Anthropic |
The AI ("Claude") that reads your forwarded emails and drafts your dashboard items |
The content of the emails you forward |
| Supabase |
Our database and sign-in |
Account, household, child, and dashboard data, and the emails you forward (for the window in §8) |
| Postmark |
Receives your forwarded email and sends our service emails |
Forwarded email content; your email address |
| Vercel |
Runs and hosts the tidy-tigers app itself |
Every request you make to the Service, and each forwarded email as it arrives and is processed |
| Cloudflare |
Our domain registrar and DNS — tells the internet where mail and web traffic for our addresses should go |
Address lookups only. Your mail and your use of the app never pass through Cloudflare, apart from visits to tidytigers.org, which Cloudflare redirects to tidytigers.app |
| Google (Workspace) |
Our team's own email |
Messages you send to hello@tidytigers.app, including requests to access or delete your data |
| Slack |
Where our own team gets an alert when something in the system breaks, or a heads-up that a parent sent feedback |
Internal record numbers, counts, and domain names, plus the kind of feedback (for example "wrong date"). We build these messages to a standing rule that they carry no names, no email addresses, no email content, no feedback notes, and nothing about your child |
| Sentry (when enabled — not switched on yet) |
Tells our team when the app hits an error |
Error messages and technical traces. Email addresses are scrubbed out and request contents are not sent |
We do not currently take payments. If we add subscriptions later, payment processing will be handled by a specialist provider (Stripe) who receives your card details directly, and we will update this table before that happens.
We also fetch pages your school links to. When a forwarded email links to a school newsletter or web page, we fetch that page so we can summarize it for you. That request goes to whoever hosts the page (usually the school or district); we send them no information about you or your child.
About the AI provider: building your dashboard requires an AI model to read the content of the emails you forward. We use Anthropic. Your content is sent to Anthropic only to generate your dashboard, and your content is not used to train Anthropic's or anyone else's AI models, consistent with our agreement with them.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising or for anyone else's own purposes. We may share information if the law requires it (for example, a valid legal request), to protect the safety or rights of people or the Service, or as part of a business transfer (like a merger) — in which case we'll require the recipient to honor this policy, and we'll tell you.
6. Children's information
We take this seriously because the whole product touches family life.
- We collect as little as possible about your child — typically just a first name or nickname and their school/grade, plus the items we derive from the mail you forward.
- The information is provided by you, the parent — your child is never our user and never gives us anything directly.
- You consent when you add a child. When you add a child, you confirm you're their parent or legal guardian and you consent to us processing their information to build your dashboard.
- We never sell your child's information, never show ads, and never build ad profiles about your child.
- You're in control. You can review, correct, or delete a child and all their data at any time (see §9).
If you believe we have information about a child in a way that doesn't fit the above, contact us at hello@tidytigers.app and we'll address it promptly.
7. How we protect your information
We're a small team, and we keep security proportionate to what we hold — which starts with holding as little as possible. What's in place today:
- Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our database provider.
- Your family's own mail is walled off inside the database itself. A signed-in parent cannot read another household's private mail, mark an item done for someone else's child, or change a shared school item for anyone but themselves. These rules are enforced by the database on every single query — not by app code that could forget to check — so they hold even if we make a mistake elsewhere. We also keep a suite of tests that tries to break each rule on purpose.
- What's shared between families, and what may be. Today, every email you forward is stored under your household and shown only to your household. The only things shared between families are school-wide items we add ourselves, such as the district calendar, which appear on the board of every family at that school. As we build the Service, we may start storing one copy of a school-wide message — a principal's newsletter, a district announcement — and showing it to every family at that school, rather than keeping a separate copy per family. If we do, a school-wide message you forwarded could appear on another family's board at your school, along with who sent it and when. Mail addressed to you personally would never be shared that way. We'll update this section and tell you before that starts.
- Access is limited to the three people who run tidy-tigers, and actions taken in our admin tools are written to a log that cannot be edited or erased.
- Our keys and credentials are kept out of our source code.
- We store as little as we can — a first name or nickname for your child, and the raw forwarded email only for the short window described in §8.
No system is perfectly secure, and our security will grow as we do. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll notify you and any regulators as required by law.
8. How long we keep it
- Forwarded raw emails: we keep the full original of each email you forward — its body, and any attachments it carried — for 60 days, then automatically erase the contents. Attachments are never stored separately and are erased along with the email. One thing survives that erasure: a short record of who sent the message, its subject line, and the date it arrived. We keep that so the "where did this come from?" link on a dashboard card still works after the original is gone. Whatever we erase, you still have in your own Gmail.
- Your dashboard items: kept while they're relevant. Calendar events are archived automatically once their date has passed — for a multi-day event, once the last day has passed. Everything else stays until you remove it: to-dos and undated notes are never cleared automatically, and that includes a to-do that has a due date. They remain on your board until you tick them off, delete them, or delete your household. (A start-of-school-year clear-out is planned; it isn't built yet, and this section will be updated when it ships.)
- Account information (your household, the parents on it, children, schools, approved senders, preferences): kept while your account is active. If a second parent leaves or is removed, their sign-in is deleted; the family and its dashboard stay.
- Feedback you send: kept while your account is active, so we can follow up and check that a fix worked. Ask us at any time to delete a particular note.
- When you delete your household: you can do it yourself any time in Settings → "Delete our family". It takes effect immediately and removes your household, your children, the mail you forwarded, your dashboard, your approved senders, any feedback you sent, and the sign-in of every parent on the household, all at once. If you ask us by email instead, we do the same thing within 60 days at most — in practice far sooner. The only exception either way is anything we're required to keep by law.
9. Your choices and rights
Whether or not the law requires it of us, these are yours. At any time you can:
- Confirm whether we hold personal data about you and your family, and see it;
- Get a copy of it in a portable form — ask us and we'll send it to you;
- Correct anything that's wrong;
- Delete a child, or your entire household, with the data that goes with it;
- Ask us questions about how your data is handled.
We've written these as commitments we make to you directly, rather than as a recital of any one state's statute, so they don't depend on where you live or on how our company is classified. If a privacy law where you live gives you more than this, you get that too.
We don't sell personal data, run targeted advertising, or build advertising profiles — of you or your children. Where a law offers an opt-out from those things, there is nothing here to opt out of.
How to exercise any of these: you can delete your whole household yourself, any time, in Settings → "Delete our family". For everything else — seeing your data, getting a copy, a correction, or deleting a single child — email hello@tidytigers.app and a person on our small team will handle it. We'll respond within the time the law requires (generally 45 days). We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we ever deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. Texas residents may also contact the Texas Attorney General's office.
10. Data location
We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the U.S. by us and our providers. The Service isn't directed to users outside the U.S.
11. Cookies and tracking
We use exactly one cookie: the one that keeps you signed in. That's it.
We run no analytics, we set no advertising cookies, we allow no third-party trackers on our site, and we never sell information collected through cookies. Even our fonts are served from our own site rather than a font network, so loading a page doesn't announce your visit to anyone else.
If we ever add analytics, it will be a privacy-preserving kind, it will be disclosed here before it starts, and it will never touch children's data.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date and let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect, and — where the change needs it — we'll ask for your agreement again.
